At the Forefront of Genomics Technology

Mount Sinai’s Center for Advanced Genomics Technology (CAGT) offers the latest in sequencing tools, driving innovation in both basic and translational research that will impact clinical care. Led by Robert Sebra, PhD, the CAGT is advancing personalized medicine with high-resolution genomic data that can inform diagnostics, disease progression, and treatment strategies. Key innovations include single-cell RNA sequencing from archival tissues, enabling retrospective studies of disease, and subcellular spatial transcriptomics, which allows for detailed mapping of gene expression in tissues. These advancements are providing insights into tumor progression, immune responses, and other critical factors, ultimately guiding more targeted therapies and improving patient outcomes. The Center’s cutting-edge technology aims to refine precision medicine for a variety of conditions, including cancer, genetic disorders, and developmental diseases.
