Robert A. Kaufmann, MD
Dr. Robert Kaufmann is an associate professor in the University of Pittsburgh Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and is the medical director of the UPMC Monroeville Surgical Center. He received his medical degree from the Temple University School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency. Dr. Kaufmann went on to complete his fellowship at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Philadelphia Hand Center in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Kaufmann specializes in elbow, hand, wrist, and finger(s) surgeries. His research interests include CT scan characterization of the distal humerus, specifically, an interest in identifying the isometric region, noting ideal placement of ligament reconstruction. Dr. Kaufmann’s board certifications include Orthopaedic Surgery, American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery Surgery of the Hand, and American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
