Albert Huang, MD, trained in general surgery at Houston Methodist before founding Allotrope Medical, a medical device company based in Houston. With a focus on increasing surgical precision and safety during minimally invasive and robotic surgery, company has received venture and grant funding from organizations including the National Science Foundation and Y-Combinator. Allotrope Medical is a Johnson & Johnson J-Labs resident company. Huang is also an innovation strategist for the Texas Medical Center’s accelerator TMCx.
