Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

Interventional Thrombectomies

[CME] In this online course, Kerry Rogers, MD, and Jennifer Woyach, MD, hematologic oncologists in the Division of Hematology at Ohio State, discuss chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), including risk factors, current approaches to treatment, the role of each patient’s age, emerging trends in first-line treatment and stem cell transplants.

They also describe the evaluation of lymphocytosis and the diagnosis of chronic lymphocytic leukemia, small lymphocytic lymphoma and monoclonal B-lymphocytosis. In addition, they explain the prognosis of these diseases in general terms and the implications for health maintenance.

Viewers will learn about important prognostic factors in CLL, the rationale behind the watch-and-wait approach to therapy, and the common side effects of targeted therapies.
