Association of Sex, Reduced Myocardial Flow Reserve and Long-term Mortality Across Spectrum of Atherosclerotic Disease

title

This large study of patients undergoing PET MPI demonstrated that although reduced MBFR was more prevalent in women compared with men, there were no sex-specific differences in the prognostic value of reduced MBFR. Reduced MBFR was independently associated with poor long-term survival in both sexes, regardless of presence and severity of coexisting calcified atherosclerosis or perfusion abnormality.
