Hyperprolactinemia: A Case-Based Approach

In this presentation, Pouneh Fazeli, MD, MPH, reviews the causes and treatment options for patients with hyperprolactinemia and associated prolactinomas.

  • Identify the causes of hyperprolactinemia and the necessary studies/tests to order when evaluating individuals with hyperprolactinemia
  • Describe the potential clinical manifestations of hyperprolactinemia
  • Explain the current therapeutic algorithm for treating prolactinomas
  • Recall when dopamine agonist withdrawal is recommended when treating a prolactinoma
