The Temporalis Flap in Otolaryngology

Otolaryngologist-Head and Neck Surgeon J. Dale Browne, MD, at Wake Forest Baptist Health, gives a presentation on the temporalis flap procedure. Dr. Browne specializes in head and neck surgical oncology, thyroid and skull base surgery. He commonly utilizes surgical reconstruction  with microvascular free tissue transfer as well as pedicled tissue in order to maximize function and aesthetics with tumor removal. The temporalis muscle flap illustrated in this presentation is commonly used as a reliable method to reconstruct palate defects.
