DiLumen® Assisted En Bloc EMR

A significant polyp, missed during a screening colonoscopy, is discovered at the splenic flexure using DiLumen’s dual-balloon system. Among other advantages, the balloons are designed to flatten folds and hold position of the endoscope using gentle traction within the colon.

After visualization, the 3cm polyp was successfully removed en bloc, mediated by DiLumen’s fore-balloon which was used as a retrieval basket for the polyp, eliminating the need for an additional device during the procedure. Courtesy of Dr. David Diehl of Geisinger Health in Danville, PA.
