Rehab Grand Rounds - Fall 2020: Cancer Pre-habilitation

In UPMC’s Fall 2020 Rehab Grand Rounds, Alexander Watson, MD, MBA, and Romer B. Orada, DO, FAAPMR, explain the importance of cancer rehabilitation. Drs. Orada and Watson present how rehabilitation can reduce or eliminate side effects, complications, and associated treatments of cancer to improve survivor’s functional independence and quality of life.

Educational Objectives 

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss the model of cancer rehabilitation in the oncology care continuum
  • Explain the importance of a cancer pre-habilitation program 
  • Recall examples of specific strategies that can be implemented in a breast cancer pre-habilitation program
