Dr. Krambeck shares her first impressions on the Flex XC1 Single Use Ureteroscope, how it compares to her reusable scopes, and how she sees it playing a role in her practice.
Well my first impression of the FLex XC one was, wow, this image is amazing. I really couldn't believe that I was not looking at a digital reusable scope. It's identical in almost all regards by my eye to my digital reusable scope. So I was extremely excited. Um really mind blowing image. I would say that the flex XC1 is a major contender in the marketplace. I think that the image quality is um is unmatched. I think that they win hands down in that area. Um and I think it is definitely going to be a product that people will want to use. I was really pleased when I used the flex XC one. it performed to a level that I didn't did not really think was possible for a disposable your horoscope personally, I think that it is going to replace a lot of our reusable scopes in the future and I think it would be a very attractive option to most hospitals. I think the flex XC1 will allow me to elevate my practice for my patients. Um I am able to utilize a disposable scope without compromising quality. I have the same great visual image, the same flexibility and the same ability to treat a patient with complex stone disease. Whereas in the past I might have utilized a fiber optic scope because I was afraid of breaking my digital reusable scope in a complex case. I don't have to worry about contaminating my scopes with a patient who has recurrent U. T. I. S. That are very complex. I can utilize a disposable scope in that setting and not have the tradeoff of decreased image quality. Um I don't have to worry about re processing. If I have multiple yuri Doris copies in a day, I don't need to count the number of scopes I have and how quickly S. P. D. Can reprocess. I know that I have the disposable scopes as a backup and can still provide the same high quality of care to my patients in your reader. A Skopje. I think the choice has to do with the equipment that we're going to use to treat that stone. Um You know, what type of disposables are we going to use? What type of scope are we going to use? What type of with a trip are we going to use? So as a surgeon, you have a lot of choices when you start your reader a Skopje depending on what's available to you and what your hospital will allow and what you think is the best possible product for that patient. I would say my first experience was mind blowing. Um because I couldn't believe that something I was going to throw away at the end of the case could have such an amazing image
