Gamma Knife Surgery for Brain Tumors

Gamma Knife Radiosurgery is a service offered by MUSC for treatment of brain tumors, pain syndromes, arteriovenous malformations, epilepsy, and psychiatric disorders. It is equally effective as whole brain radiotherapy yet offers significantly fewer cognitive side effects. Gamma Knife Radiosurgery is a safe alternative to more invasive procedures and allows the patient less recovery and more quality time with loved ones.
